Vertical Innovations’ Fight Against Period Poverty

Vertical Innovations, led by Co-founder & CEO Rezwan Ahamed Noor and Co-founder & Head of Business Dina Afsana, is tackling the pressing issue of period poverty. Afsana articulated the necessity of breaking the taboo surrounding menstrual hygiene, outlining Vertical Innovations’ strategic placement in private spaces to ensure safe access to menstrual hygiene products for female customers. Their innovative approach aims to empower women by addressing a fundamental aspect of their health and well-being.

“In the South Asian region, females are not comfortable about their periods and sanitary pads, which is actually very necessary in the life of a female. Due to this taboo, most females are not aware of menstrual hygiene. In Vertical Innovations, we want to target these females who are facing period poverty, which is a lack of accessibility, availability, and proper information. Vertical Innovations is situated in private places in RMG factories, offices, and schools so girls can access period pads without hesitation in a comfortable way.” – Dina Afsana, Co-founder & Head of Business Development, Vertical Innovations Limited
